Secret Getaway is encouraging ‘experience seekers’ to seize the opportunity and spontaneously breakout from their daily routine. The premium online platform offers a careful selection of exclusive getaways and once-in-a-lifetime packages including; delightful high-teas at a 5* hotels or pampering spa days at boutique properties to name a few. All properties are carefully selected on their ability to delight and surprise you.
The dynamic duo, Andrea Britt and Tania Batista Hofer, behind the Secret Getaway, live by the philosophy that spontaneity is fun and too much choice is boring.
Via limited offers and hard-to-resist flash sales, Secret Getaway members are invited to, on a weekly basis, choose from a select array of packages; from Top Secret Getaways at ultra 5* properties to the Classic Collection 4-star properties that under promise and over deliver, there is something to suit your bucket list and budget.
Apart from inviting you to be a local tourist, delighting in the magnificent destinations available, Secret Getaway allows you the opportunity to give a memorable gift, one that will last a lifetime, with one of their gift vouchers. Spoil someone special with a luxury spa treatment or delicious lunch. 5% of each voucher is donated to various charities across South Africa.
Johannesburg media were recently treated to a Secret Getaway journey and culinary experience like no other at the prestigious Saxon Hotel. Media were taken on a 4-course sensory and celebratory expedition around the property, exploring the beautiful facilities whilst pairing Taittinger Champagne vintages with the culinary delights such as smoked salmon and poached scallops, prepared by the hotel’s returning Executive Chef, Jane-Therese Mulry. The wonderful afternoon ended with desserts and pastries served in the hotel’s recently renovated spa.
Andrea Britt, Director of Secret Getaway says, “The recent media event effortlessly showcased what Secret Getaway has to offer. There are so many exciting and memorable adventures to be had in our own city. What better way to escape daily life than through an exceptional experience that allows you to venture out and enjoy the local hidden gems, their cuisine and their facilities. I would like to say a big thank you to The Saxon Hotel and Taittinger for helping us make this event a success.”
