Iron Maiden rock band arrived in Mzansi yesterday after 21 years as part of their world tour to perform The Book of Souls for two special shows on 18 at the Grand Arena, Grand West in Cape Town.
The Carnival City Festival Lawns show in Johannesburg is scheduled for 21 May. The band has also brought along vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith for the first time.
Iron Maiden is now over halfway through The Book Of Souls world tour which included their first-ever visits to China and El Salvador.
Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood comments “The tour is truly spectacular and the band is on top form so everything is going just great so far and over half a million fans have already seen the show with phenomenal reviews.”
“High points to date have to include the two concerts in China, which clearly demonstrated the similarities of fans all around the planet. They knew every word and, even more amazingly, the Ministry of Culture allowed us to present our entire show with only a couple of very minor alterations, which I don’t think anyone expected would happen to this degree.”
