Cape Town based Open Door Restaurant has introduced the breakfast service with a delightful menu created by Pastry Chef Christine de Villiers and Executive Chef Annemarie Steenkamp.
Situated at at Constantia Uitsig, Open Door Restaurant breakfast service is available daily between 9am and 11am.
In addition to favourites such as freshly baked Croissant with scrambled egg, smoked salmon, sour cream and capers, other dishes include Toasted brioche with poached eggs, bone marrow, citrus hollandaise, chorizo and sweetcorn; and Cinnamon brioche French toast with bacon, glazed pears, pecan nuts and banana brandy butter.
Guests can also enjoy a hearty Constantia Uitsig Farm Breakfast; the Open Door breakfast of eggs, beef sausage, avocado and marinated tomatoes; or a Boiled duck egg with sourdough soldiers.
The menu also features a selection of nutritious and fruity options including Stewed fruit and mixed nut crumble with double thick yoghurt as well as Mixed seed, nuts and coconut granola, served with beetroot yoghurt and seasonal fruit.
Open Door is the latest venture of restaurateur and sommelier Neil Grant and business partner Barry Engelbrecht of Burrata (Eat Out Italian Restaurant of the Year 2013) and Bocca fame.
