Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg (MBFWJ) has presented its line-up for this year’s show taking place from 10 – 12 March at Nelson Mandela Square.
The line-up include internationally-acclaimed David Tlale, Khosi Nkosi, Stefania Morland, Scalo, Mille Collines, Marianne Fassler, Tamara Dyson, Tuelo Nguyuza Collectiv, Spero Viliotti Couture, Selfi, Augustine, Leigh Schubert, Grapevine, Scalo/Tsotetsi KL in association with FALKE, AKEDO EXCLUSIVE PRESENTATION and Carducci.
While fashionistas can look forward to incredible designs of Autumn Winter collections for women, designers showcasing menswear at MBFWJ this year are Selfie, Carducci, Millie Collins and David Tlale – who will present the first young designer talent to be nurtured under his seasoned wings in a show aptly named The Intern.
Joburg audiences hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite designers’ collections will have the opportunity to plan their time at MBFWJ using the official designer schedule.
Khosi Nkosi’s collection will open the glittering showcase at the iconic Nelson Mandela Square, while David Tlale heats things up on Friday night at a mystery off-site venue to be revealed in due course.
Organised and curated by African Fashion International (AFI), the gateway to refined African fashion, MBFWJ weaves the eccentricity of African heritage and history into contemporary notions of fashion, putting the focus firmly on local designers.
From urban street fashion to chic ready-to-wear items and avant-garde designs, audiences can expect a good dose of beyond-trend fashion and one of the best fashion productions of 2016.
Tickets will be available from www.webticket.co.za and range from R100 to R250 per show.
