Simbambili Lodge, which is situated along the meandering Manyeleti River in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, is famed for its regular leopard sightings and abundance of general game species, as well as exceptional bird life.
The lodge offers supreme luxury in eight individual Moroccan-style suites, each of which has been designed for the utmost privacy while blending in seamlessly with the surrounding nature.
Each private suite has spectacular views over extensive savannah grassland alive with wildlife, best viewed from the individual private plunge pools.
Recently, cricket player Nick Compton spent some time at the lodge after the test match. He is the grandson of famous cricketer Dennis Compton and Nick has always conveyed how special it is for him to play in South Africa.
Following his four-day stay at Simbambili, Nick, and his partner Nicolene Paxton, made their way to Knysna, where Nick’s parents have retired. Nick and Nicolene will be spending time there now that his test cricket responsibilities for England are concluded for the South African portion of this year’s series.
