Organisers of Mzansi’s first Bike Festival announced that the festival tickets are now available. Powered by Discovery Channel, the festival will take place at the newly renovated Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg from 27 – 29 May.
Over 20 000 enthusiasts will attend the South Africa Bike Festival which will be jam-packed with live music and entertainment, new adventures, leisure pursuits as well as all things engine, petrol and motorcycling. Early birds will get 50% off their tickets.
The much sought after VIP Pit Roof Village will give visitors a 180-degree view of the all new circuit and festival grounds. The VIP ticket guarantees a fast track entry, elevator access to the Pit Roof Village, VIP lanyard and festival guide, acoustic performances throughout the day, as well as a pop up-style restaurant serving buffet lunch throughout the day.
The Suzuki team has already announced their test ride models, which include the GSX-S1000A and DL1000. Honda will be bringing the CRF1000DG (Africa Twin Manual & DCT) and the VFR1200X.
Ducati’s plans are to demo the 1299 Panigale S and the X Diavel to name a few and Kawasaki has the ZX14-R and new ZX10-R.
Triumph brings with them the new Tiger Explorer and Bonneville classic retro range, and Yamaha their YZF R1, YZF R6 and YZF R3A. Full list of test makes and models will be announced in the coming weeks, along with how you can register to ride.
Sunday’s Charity Ride is also going to WOW crowds as over 2 000 motorcycles participate in a mass ride the morning of the 29th May 2016. Registered motorcycles will leave a local shopping centre at 8am for a short ride around Johannesburg, finishing up with 2 laps around the newly renovated circuit.
The Safety Zone is where South Africa’s Premier Motorcycle, Music and Lifestyle Festival aim to educate and encourage the new youthful market about safe and responsible motorcycling.
