Just before we closed for the December holidays we had an opportunity to review the newly opened Rosetta’s Restaurant that offers a classic buffet service and situated at the Emperor’s Palace. Its artwork was inspired by the Egyptian stone walls with statues and lanterns.
The restaurant is split into three eating zones. The outside zone is a chilled Bistro space that we liked most, with a deli-style display that offers cakes, waffles, breads, pancakes, milkshake and ice cream posts.
The central zone is huge and can cater for private functions as well. The main restaurant zone with a kitchen concept features a variety of buffet food selections including roasted and grilled meats, ribs, whole chicken, boerewors, beef topside and chicken wings.
Also on the offer was creamed spinach, tripe, pasta and pizza stations, Indian pickles, Chinese spring rolls, sushi, traditional stews, grilled prawns, island style seafood, deep fried calamari and bottomless soft drinks – all at affordable prices.
We ended the experience with a sweet selection of freshly baked cakes, soft serve ice creams, chocolate Swiss roll, bread and butter pudding, cheesecake, waffles and more at the dessert zone.
