Premier Hotels & Resorts has recently acquired The Richards hotel based in Richards Bay as part of its strategy to grow the Kwa-Zulu Natal footprint.
Premier Hotel The Richards, formerly owned by HPF, marketed by Protea Hotels and managed by Extra Bold, is unique to the Group’s 14 existing properties and fits the stable as a four star property.
The hotel is situated near Richards Bay Country Club, and is a convenient stopover for guests that are on their way to the popular game reserves in northern KwaZulu-Natal. It is also a popular venue for weddings.
“With our recent acquisitions of Sani Pass Hotel and Himeville Arms Hotel this year, we continue with our vision of expanding Premier Hotel & Resorts’ footprint in South Africa, with not only various acquisitions, but also refurbishment projects,” said Samuel Nassimov, Founder of Premier Hotels & Resorts.
“Over and above strengthening our brand, the acquisition will create additional employment opportunities in the surrounding communities. Our portfolio has doubled in only four years and The Richards acquisition is just another step towards our goals,” said Nassimov.
