Former experienced journalist Ntebo Lesetla-Peri, with an extensive travel experience reporting from all over the world including Europe, Asia, USA and several African countries runs a successful rail tourism project – the Loliwe Tourism Train.
Lesetla-Peri, CEO at Jezreel Group with staff comprised mainly of women and youth, is the first black woman to run this successful project that aims to drive tourism and investment in Africa.
As a mother of four, Lesetla-Peri strongly believes her energy to balance all her diverse roles are due to her strong spiritual connection with God and her love for her family.
Throughout her career, Lesetla-Peri has taken a keen interest on gender issues particularly on young girls in schools and women in the corporative environment.
She regular facilitates a programme for Youth Indaba, the section 21 company that is responsible for organising topical forums which addresses the challenges that are facing young professionals and entrepreneurs. Through Youth Indaba, Lesetla-Peri has managed to host economists, academics and politicians.
She is also a founding member of Practical Career Guidance (PCG) which assists high school learners to identify their career choices and expose them through practical exposure in their respective fields. She is always driven by value systems of ‘giving back’ to the youth.
As a mother and understanding that every child needs love and care, Lesetla-Peri started the Ntebo Lesetla Foundation that adopts children and provides them with the basic necessities including education. The foundation also provides mentorship, counselling and practical career guidance to young people on drugs, teenage pregnancy and HIV/AIDS amongst others.
Lesetla-Peri is known for a style which brings warmth and clarity, but a firm interviewing technique, which is why she has an exceptional skill to pass on to those looking for media training. She also knows how tough an interview or the media can be. She has worked with many companies, including government, providing media training, communications and change management.
She is a former Executive Manager for Telkom Directory Services and was a shareholder of a telecommunications company, TELFREE. She served as a Chairperson for The South African Youth Federation Chamber of Commerce and has chaired the youth committee that proposed the establishment of the Youth Radio on SABC.
Lesetla-Peri also served on the Board of Federations for Public Relations in Africa-FAPRA. She is currently a Board Member for International Premier Hotels & Resorts.
