The 12th successive Fancourt Heritage Classic Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place at the country’s premier golf and leisure destination on the Garden Route between 24 and 28 September. Golfers will play on The Links, Outeniqua and Montagu golf courses.
The Links is Fancourt’s prized golf course and scooped the top spot in the Golf Digest Top 100 Golf Courses rankings for 2014 and 2015 while all three of the Gary Player designed golf courses have been included in the list of South Africa’s 20 finest courses for the last four consecutive rankings.
It’s no wonder that Fancourt is an internationally sought-after golfing playground, with arguably some of the best facilities in the world, including a Club House, a top class Golf Academy and two Pro Shops.
The popular tournament was created to pay tribute to Heritage Day through the unifying means of sport. It will also celebrate South Africa’s 20 years of democracy this year.
Now firmly entrenched as a highlight on the annual golfing calendar, the event offers a fantastic long weekend of golfing on three of the finest courses in Southern Africa, with glamorous social functions adding to the appeal.
Fancourt has tailored a great value 4-night package especially for participants in the three day tournament that includes all the bells and whistles. From just R7990 per person sharing, the Heritage Classic Package includes four nights’ luxury accommodation at the Fancourt Resort Hotel and a delicious English breakfast each morning.
For non-golfers, the package includes a voucher to the value of R1 500 for pamper sessions at the Spa. Also included is the Welcome dinner and the Prize Giving function with outstanding entertainment. The Ryder Cup will be viewed in the Club Lounge each day as well.
