South Africa – Daytona Group, in partnership with Standard Bank, unveiled last week the much anticipated McLaren P1, the latest Rolls-Royce Wraith and ultra-sleek models from Aston Martin – the Rapide S, Vanquish Volante and V12 Vantage S.
Commemorating a decade in the industry, Daytona Group not only had reason to celebrate this milestone, but also the centenary birthday of legendary British motoring icon, Aston Martin, as well as the 50th birthday of renowned Formula 1 competitor, McLaren.
Over 1 200 VIP guests, celebrities and media witnessed the unveiling of five new jaw-dropping models drive onto a ramp in the centre of the marquee, which further lead to a rotating platform, allowing everyone to admire and drool over every detail the marques had to offer.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the overwhelming turnout on the evening and the response following this amazing event. The last 10 years have been for the books and I look forward to the next 10 so thank you to everyone for all the support,” said CEO of Daytona Group, Justin Divaris.
Donal van Hoogstraten, Head of Customer Financial Solutions at Standard Bank added: “Standard Bank Private Banking’s philosophy is to provide exacting, bespoke and innovative solutions with uncompromising service, so we were proud to partner with Daytona Group on this exciting launch and to host our top clientele at such an erudite event.”
The event organiser, LIVEOUTLOUD Events, pulled out all the stops for the launch with an impressive marquee stretched across the courtyard of the venue, glow in the dark cocktail tables, chill out lounge areas, a glossy white floor, free flowing champagne and whisky, Samsung Ultra HDTVs around the venue and live streaming via high-tech technology supplied by Antfarm and LaserNet.
“The event was one of the biggest events our team has put together and we are extremely proud to have been a part of it,” said Beverley Pothier, MD of LIVEOUTLOUD Events.
Entertainment came in the form of DJ Euphonik creating some beats on the decks, the ever gorgeous MC and newly appointed brand ambassador for Aston Martin, Jeannie D, and lead singer of popular local music group Prime Circle, Ross Learmonth, who took to the mic after the final reveal.
Celebrities in attendance included Nicky van der Walt, Lee-Ann Liebenberg, Top Billing presenter Jonathan Boynton-Lee, model Nadine Lee, local actor Heino Schmitt and springbok rugby player Francois Hougaard amongst others.
