I recently reviewed the new Duster and Renault did a fantastic job with the 1.5 dCi turbo diesel engine that made its debut in Renault’s local line-up in September this year.
Carlos Ghosn, a French-Lebanese businessman born in Brazil and current Chairman and CEO of Paris-based Renault, made a special request for the production of Renault’s first global family car. The Duster is truly special and thanks to Mr. Ghosn.
With Renault’s worldwide reputation for safety and security, the New Renault Duster comes standard with ABS coupled with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), front driver and passenger airbag – the latter being disconnectable in case of a child seat being placed in the front passenger seat.
Also, the New Renault Duster offers as standard driver and passenger head/thorax side airbags as well as height adjustable front safety belts.
On the inside, an integrated and intuitive touchscreen Navigation system comes standard on Dynamique. Known as MEDIANAV, coupled with Bluetooth connectivity, this multimedia system is powered by LG and allows control of navigation, radio, media (portable music devices) and mobile phone (phone book & call history) directly via the 18cm touchscreen.
Comfort and convenience are at their best with standard manual air conditioning, front and rear power windows, remote central locking, electrically adjustable side mirrors, height adjustable steering wheel & driver seat, CD/MP 3/Radio 4x15W with satellite controls, Jack and USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, onboard computer and rear parking sensors.
The 1.5 dCi turbo diesel engine Duster comes with 16” alloy wheels in tandem with a satin chrome finish on the outside door handles. The roof bars, side sills, mirrors and skid plates on the outside also comes as standard.
The Dynamique derivatives of the New Renault Duster push the boundaries in terms of design refinement.
On the road

It handles well on the corners.
